英语优秀习作选（一）
A trip to Chengde
Last summer holiday, my family went on a trip to Chengde, Hebei Province, with two of my classmates and their families.
The day finally arrived. Time seemed to go faster when we were playing cards and listening to the music on the coach. Later, we arrived in Chengde.
The next day, we went to visit the Qing Dynasty palaces. We learnt a lot about China's history. In the afternoon, the guide took us to another hotel. The hotel was very wonderful. Looking out of the windows, we could see the palaces under the blue sky.
On the third day, we went to the grassland in the southern part of Inner Mongolia. The land was large and the air was very fresh. We ran and shouted in a loud voice. We smelled the flowers and felt the wind.
I found a little sheep sleeping on the grass. I was walking slowly and quietly towards it. Suddenly, the sheep woke up and ran away quickly. I ran after it and tried to catch it but failed.
The best part of the trip is the camping fire party at night. We sat around the camping fire, singing and laughing. After that, we lay on the grass and counted the shining stars in the sky.
I enjoyed this trip very much. I hope to visit Chengde again some day.
