江山代有才人出
——我校国际象棋社团再获殊荣！
2016年7月1日，全国国际象棋棋协大师赛在江苏省张家港市落下帷幕。超过300名来自全国各地的国际象棋精英参加了比赛，来争夺更高的头衔。经过四天的激烈角逐，我校三名同学全部取得了优异的成绩。来自初一（5）班的吴锦瑄同学在女子A组的比赛中，力压所有选手，以不败战绩提前一轮比赛锁定冠军。来自国际部高一B班的刘成铭同学，同样以出色的表现获得男子A组的第四名。两位同学的出色表现最终为他们赢得了“国家棋协大师”的称号。另外，国际部高一B班的夏辉特同学同样表现不俗，在男子B组中获得了好成绩。虽然国际象棋社团成立时间不长，但进步巨大，成绩喜人。几位社员在本次大师赛的出色表现意味着我校国际象棋社团更上一层楼。在祝贺他们的同时，也希望越来越多的同学能加入到这项运动中来，让智慧在交锋中闪光！刘成铭报道
Yesterday, National Chess Federal Championship wasclosed in Zhangjiagang, Jiangsu. Nearly over 300 chess elites from all over thecountry came and competed against each other to jump into another level of titles. The tournament lasted four days. Throughout the competition,all of the players from Wuxi Foreign Language School have performed well.Wu Jinxuan from Class 5，Grade 7 scored 8.5 points out of 10 round, knocked down thechampion of her section one round ahead. She got 7 straight wins and didn’tlose one round at all. Liu Chengming from Grade 10, Class B of InternationalDivision, took the fourth place in his section. Both of them are now ChineseChess Federal Master in titles. Another player, Xia Huite from Grade 10, ClassB of International Division, had a great performance in his group as well. Thismarked a higher leap that our school’s chess club has taken. And let’s hopemore and more of students will be involved in the development of chess club. --By Zack
